Glycerites (Glycerine Extracted Simples)
A glycerite is not an alcohol based tincture, but rather uses water and vegetable (no soy, kosher, non-GMO) glycerine to extract constituents from the plant. While glycerites are not as potent as alcohol-based tinctures, they offer an alternative to those that cannot or will not consume alcohol.
Our glycerites in a one ounce amber dropper bottle, about 30 doses. Choose your glycerite below.

Lemon Balm: This is a kid-friendly formula that tastes good and fights viruses like nobody's business! It is also a gentle nervine sedative, which means that it can help you get to sleep. This formula is excellent for fighting bacterial and viral infections, getting rest, reducing fever, and helping upset tummies.
Rue: Rue was well-respected by Hippocrates for its medicinal qualities. Aristotle touted it as essential for calming nervousness. Pliny recorded that it was used by artists to encourage eye health. Rue was one of the active ingredients of Four Thieves' Vinegar, which was said to protect the opportunists who stole from those suffering from the effects of the Black Death.
Spring Violet: Violet is a gentle but potent remedy. It is classified as an alterative (or "blood purifier"), which means it helps the body restore optimal functioning by aiding metabolic processes, especially the elimination of waste products. Violet stimulates the lymphatic glands, helping the body get rid of bacteria and other toxins. It is especially useful for swollen glands. Over time, violet can help clear stubborn problems like eczema, psoriasis, and acne. Taking Violet after a long winter is a wonderful way to get our bodies ready for a healthy and energetic spring. It supports the immune system, helping to clear infections of all kinds. Soothing and cooling, it helps reduce fever and inflammation. It can be useful in treating sinus infections, bronchitis, sore throats and coughs.

This notice is required by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for herbalists and people like me but not big pharma, who is in bed with the FDA. After umpteen million product recalls, birth defects and deaths, big pharma still doesn't have to label like this- even though the ingredients in this product has been used safely for much longer than any pharmaceutical preparation has. Just sayin'.
